For more than 30 years, the Harrisonville Public School Foundation has sponsored the annual Excellence in Academics program honoring Harrisonville High School students who complete the year in the top 15% of their class. Seniors are recognized on their final day of class at the Senior Excellence in Academics Celebration and recognition of underclassmen takes place at the Excellence in Academics Assembly in August. Both events are held during the school day in front of the entire student body.
The Senior Excellence in Academics Celebration includes not only the Excellence in Academics recognitions and presentation of the $500 scholarships to four-year recipients, but presentation of all senior scholarships. It is attended by parents and community members, who along with the HHS students and staff, have the opportunity to recognize the senior class for all their accomplishments.
The Excellence in Academics Assembly in August includes the recognition of letterwinners, ACT Hall of Fame honorees, and other academic honor recipients, along with the Excellence in Academics recipients.
The Excellence in Academics program would not be possible without the support of our community. We appreciate our community's support of the Excellence in Academics program, and we hope you will consider becoming an Excellence in Academics subscriber.
